TEL AVIV -- Israeli officials are denying reports that Saudi Arabia has purchased the Iron Dome air defense system. Arabic media reports are making this claim.
The media report did not provide details on this deal or how many Iron Dome batteries Saudi Arabia had allegedly purchased. The report did say the first battery will arrive in Saudi Arabia in December. The Iron Dome could protect Saudi territory from missile attacks from Houthi rebels in Yemen, according to the media reports.
Israel and Saudi Arabia have no official diplomatic ties.
