U.S. NAVY AWARDS CONTRACT FOR MAINTENANCE WORK ON USS HOPPER (DDG 70)
HONOLULU -- BAE Systems Hawaii Shipyards Inc, Honolulu, Hawaii, is awarded a $31.9 million cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to definitize previously-awarded undefinitized contract action N00024-14-C-4412 for scheduled extended docking selected restricted availability (EDSRA) for USS Hopper (DDG 70), homeported in Honolulu, Hawaii.
A focal point of the work is to support alteration installation team modernization packages. The scheduled EDSRA is the opportunity in the ship’s life cycle primarily to conduct repair and alteration to systems that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.
Work will be performed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by July, 2020. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding in the amount of $19.6 million, fiscal 2018 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $2.8 million, and fiscal 2018 working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $111,793, will be obligated at time of award. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.
