KYIV -- Ukrianian troops destroyed an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) flying over the Donbas region Nov. 19. This region is part of eastern Ukraine and is partly controlled by pro-Russian separatists.
The Orlan-10 is a small UAV used for local area reconnaissance missions. The UAV was reportedly collecting information along the Bakhmut-Kostiantynivka-Ocheretyne route.
Ukrainian officials said the UAV was identified from an ID number label found on a parachute at the crash site.
