AMSTERDAM - Air France Industries' KLM Engineering & Maintenance operation has been approved to service GEnx engines for its 787 fleet on order. EASA certified the overhaul shop in Amsterdam for minor repoairs for the new engine.
Component-level repairs for the GEnx will be done by the group's subsidiary CRMA in Paris. Engine runs will be conducted at the group's test cell at Charles-de-Gaulle.
The first 787s are scheduled for delivery to the airline in late 2015.
