U.S. NAVY ORDERS BLQ-10 KITS AND SPARES
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has been awarded a $27,510,334 cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to previously-awarded contract N00024-09-C-6247, from the United States Navy, for the procurement of fiscal 2019 electronic warfare BLQ-10 kits and spares to support program requirements.
The BLQ-10 is an electronic support measures (ESM) system for the U.S. Navy's Los Angeles, Seawolf, and Virginia class attack submarines. It collects and processes complex radar, communications, and navigation low-level emissions from commercial shipping traffic and surface threats. Work will be performed in Syracuse, New York (99 percent); and Manassas, Virginia (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by October 2022. Fiscal 2019 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $27,510,334 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The U.S. Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
