SANDY HOOK, Conn. -- Envoy Air has unveiled plans to add 19 Embraer regional jets to its fleet. Deliveries are scheduled to start later in 2024. According to the carrier, the 19 aircraft will include 11 Embraer 170s and eight Embraer 175s, and will be comprised of a mix of existing 170s and 175s acquired from other airlines and new-build 175s.

The 19 aircraft are in addition to a number of aircraft acquisitions announced by Envoy during 2023, which included six 175s announced in March, seven 175s and five 170s in June, and four 175s in October.

With the 19 additional aircraft, Envoy’s total fleet commitment now stands at 169 aircraft, including 126 Embraer 175s and 43 Embraer 170s.

Based in Irving, Texas, Envoy Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group. It operates 800 daily flights to more than 160 destinations in North and South America. Envoy provides regional flight service to American Airlines under the American Eagle brand.

Envoy’s all-Embraer fleet of more than 135 aircraft currently includes only the 170 and 175 models. The 170s are configured in a 66-passenger seating layout, and the 175s in a 76-passenger configuration. Envoy retired the 50-seat Embraer ERJ 145 from its fleet in mid-2023.
